Q & A

How long have you been guiding?

I have been guiding in the high mountains since 1995... A long time!

Who has most influenced you as a guide and how?

My first mentors in the guiding world were Chamonix-based guides Dave Cumming and Ralf Tenbrink. I think I owe most of what I do today to these guys. I am also constantly learning from, and influenced by, all of my fellow professionals who share my passion for the mountains.

What certifications do you have?

UIAGM/IFMGA High Mountain Guide - ISIA/ISTD Ski and Snowboard Teacher/Performance Coach.

What are you most excited about for the 23/24 season?

Last season, I did a cool Vanlife Splitboard trip around Arctic Norway with a few clients, which was great fun and so I'm looking forward to heading back up North again to further explore this amazing region. I also found some great new spots in the Alps and Pyrenees, despite a low tide season. Most of all I'm just looking forward to surfing mountains again.
