Q & A

Talk about your most epic splitboard adventure:

To date, my favorite splitboard trip was crossing the Sierra to film Ode to Muir. Being able to just camp, hike, and shred for multiple days on end was a dream.

What has most influenced your backcountry riding?

I have had so many great influences that have brought me into the backcountry. Jeremy Jones, Hana Beaman, Brian Iguchi, Robin Van Gyn.... all have really helped guide me in the backcountry.

What are you most excited about for the 22/23 season?

I am really looking forward to trying to tackle some bigger mountain objectives. I have fallen in love with winter camping and it opens up so many doors to be able to go deeper into the mountains. Lots of plans are swirling!!!

What inspires you?

I am inspired by nature. How complex yet simple it is. It drives me to spend more time immersed in nature because I always feel like I learn and grow when I do.

Why ride Spark R&D gear?

It's the best in the game. Light, reliable, and comfortable.
