Who: Intermediate + Advanced splitboarders
What: Join us for a 3-day splitboard adventure in Idaho’s Pioneer Mountains, just outside Sun Valley. Suited for intermediate and advanced women splitboarders, come ready to explore a new location or embark on your first overnight journey. We will refine our splitboarding skills and learn to assess snow safety in a new environment. Daily lessons will focus on terrain choices, writing snow observations, getting back to basics with a map and compass, and riding pow.
Requirements: For this session, we require all participants to have familiarity with their splitboard, shovel, beacon, and probe. You do not need to be an expert, but you must feel comfortable with transitions and how to use your snow safety equipment.
Please note: This clinic is not a replacement for a formal avalanche training. While this clinic will be led by an AIARE (American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education) instructor, we will only briefly discuss the topics of an AIARE Level 1 course.
