Where can I buy Spark R&D products?
We have a growing list of dealers that sell our products. We also sell directly though our online store.
Shipping?
We can ship via USPS and UPS both domestically and internationally. Note: International rates vary by country and are subject to additional import duties and taxes (this is out of our control!). If you choose UPS Standard, you will be charged a brokerage fee from UPS, which can be quite expensive and is again out of our control. We suggest either USPS (which is cheapest but does not have tracking once it reaches the border and they often misplace packages) or UPS expedited (which is more expensive at the outset but does not charge broker fees). We know that international shipping is expensive and we recommend going through your local dealer if possible.
What forms of payments do you accept?
You can pay with Visa, American Express, or Mastercard
Do you have spare parts available?
Spare pins are available in our store, as well as a random assortment of other parts. If you can't find what you're looking for in the store, send an email to sales@sparkrandd.com and we'll get you squared away.
Why don’t my pins fit in ride mode?
If you ride with positive angle on your rear foot you may have to run your pins on the outside of your binding. The pins are directional so you will have to switch both of them. This will not affect the performance of your bindings. For additional ideas please see our setup guide.
My Spark pins don't fit through the touring brackets, but my Voile ones do, what gives?
Our pins fit through 99.5% of the voile touring brackets out there. If your pins don't easily fit through the touring brackets do not force them. A 1/4 inch drill bit (by hand), a round file, or rolled up sandpaper can be used to slightly increase the size of the hole so our pins slide easily. Are these bindings compatible with my Voile interface parts?
All Spark R&D binders are compatible with the Voile interface kit. They slide right on to the adjustable or split your own pucks. The bindings are not compatible with the interface Burton used before switching to the Voile kit.
The binders don’t slide on my new pucks easily?
If you are having a hard time installing your bindings on the board check to make sure that your rubber gaskets are installed underneath your pucks. If not, install your gaskets right now!
Are the Voile crampons compatible with Spark R&D Bindings?
The Voile crampons use a different pin system and attach on the outside of the touring bracket and therefore are NOT compatible with any Spark R&D bindings. We sell our own crampons which are compatible with our bindings. Check them out here.
Will Mr. Chomps crampons fit on my split?
Our crampons are available in two widths, standard and wide. The standard crampons have an inside width of 138mm., which will fit boards a bit over 26cm. at the waist. Boards over 26cm. at the waist should use the wide crampons, which have an inside width of 148mm.
Which Voile split interface parts do I need to buy?
If you are using Spark R&D bindings on a factory made splitboard you need to order the Voile Universal Splitboard Hardware for Light Rail, item 1130-58 for $100 and you’re good to go. What is your warranty policy?
Spark R&D warrants its products to be free of manufacturing defects for one year from the date of purchase as validated by a copy of your original sales receipt. Problems resulting from impact, abuse, misuse, neglect, or modifications made outside of our factory and normal wear and tear are not covered.If your product has a valid warranty issue we will repair or replace the product free of charge. In the event that an exact replacement (Model, size, and/or color) is no longer available we will replace your product with one of comparable performance, size and value. Contact us directly if you have a warranty issue.
