here's our story

Based out of Bozeman, MT Spark Research & Development is rider owned and operated, dedicated to pushing innovation in the sport of splitboarding since 2005. With a view of the Bridger Mountains from the shop window, we design and build splitboard bindings and accessories with backcountry performance coming first.

Made in the USA!

All of our products are manufactured in the shop from start to finish with the help of our CNC milling machines, anodizing equipment, laser engraver, and busy production crew. (The only exception is the sheet metal for our Mr. Chomps crampons are cut out just 10 miles away – we take over from there, and plan do do the whole thing in-house by the end of the 2010 season). We pride ourselves in sourcing our parts and pieces from local and domestic vendors whenever possible.
