SplitFest offers you the chance to try out splitboarding and check out the latest developments and equipment. As always the main aim is to get the maximum number of backcountry snowboarders together in one place and have a good time!

Thursday September 8
9.00am – meet at Temple Basin for a day of touring.
Temple Basin Goods lift is open from 9am.
Friday September 9
10.30am – SplitFest Avalanche Awareness Course
Ideal intro or refresher course offering you New Zealand’s best value day of avalanche awareness training! Just $65. SplitFest participants only – register online with your SplitFest registration. Course numbers will be limited so get in early.

Saturday September 10
10.00am Official Festival kick-off
If you’re travelling up from town try to get to the Lodge by 10am or soon after to join the festivities and take advantage of the demo gear and other events.
Temple Basin goods lift runs from 9am – drop your gear there and stroll on up!
10.00am Split Boarding Demo gear available all day
Demo gear is available all day. See Richard and Chris to try one or more board and bindings set-ups. Your best chance to try splitboarding and/or the latest gear!
11.00am – Split Boarding Technique Workshop
Join the technique workshop with Ryan.
Register your interest beforehand so we have an idea of numbers and be sure you have your gear organised and ready to go by 11am.
8.00pm – SplitFest Slideshow

11.00am Split Boarding Tour
Join a tour departing for different locations to suit different levels of experience and ability.
