Kootenay Coldsmoke Powder Fest 2016

The Kootenay Coldsmoke Powder Fest was created to provide a grass-roots gathering where mountain enthusiasts of all levels can celebrate our local culture with a breathtaking backdrop on world-renowned snow. Nelson, British Columbia, the powder mecca of the Kootenays, is a natural choice and the perfect host for the 10th annual Kootenay Coldsmoke Powder Fest to be held February 19-21, 2016. In addition to seasoned mountain veterans, this event will also draw “keen to be” telemarkers, backcountry skiers/snowboarders who want to give off-piste adventures a try, and those that want to socialize and enjoy the culture that the mountains instill. Whitewater Ski Resort’s terrain, combined with the Selkirk’s legendary snow, provides fantastic opportunities for everyone to ski, learn, compete, and celebrate the snow that mountain enthusiasts enjoy.
