Activities

Throughout the day there will be regular Uphill 101 courses, demos, various backcountry tours, clinics, a super fun uphill/downhill race, and a sweet raffle!

Demos: During the day a variety of boards and bindings will be available to try out from brands such as Burton, Voile, Never Summer, Rome, Spark R&D, Weston Snowboards, and Karakoram.

Uphill 101: This brief instructional session will take you on a short tour around Bolton where you will get to see what it’s like to earn your turns. We will share some tips on setting up your board, skinning up-hill, and provide you with some pointers to help you get the most out of your next uphill adventure.

Uphill/Downhill Race Course: Burton Snowboards will be organizing a fun and challenging race at 2:00PM. Anyone and everyone is invited to come out. The final course won’t be revealed until the day of the event, but there will be uphill and downhill legs. One of the downhills will include a banked slalom, and we promise it will be ridiculous, heinous, challenging, and incredibly fun! The event will begin with a mass start, and hopefully everyone will participate! There will also be a special prize for the winners!

Backcountry Tours: During the day there will be opportunities to go on short guided tours, and as soon as that schedule is ready we will post it here. In addition we will have route info available for those wanting to go out on their own.

Raffle: At the end of the day we will raffle off a selection of prizes donated by our sponsors. The money raised by the raffle will go to support the activities of the Vermont Backcountry Alliance and Catamount Trail Association. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the event for (1)$5, (5)$10, (15)$20
