Small Bindings, Wide Crampons, new transitions movie and Jeremy Jones

Posted on December 15, 2008

Hello out there,

We’re happy to announce that we now have small bindings and wide crampons. More info on our small bindings can be found on the bindings page. These bindings are 1/4 inch (6mm) narrower than our standard bindings, and have strap and highback attachment points closer to the center of the binding for smaller feet.

Small on the left, large on the right on a US Women’s size 8 (25 Mondo).

Our standard crampon fits boards a bit over 26 cm at the waist, the new wide crampons fit boards up to 28 cm at the waist. See our Crampons page for more information.

We’ve released a new video showing how to transition a Voile interface equipped splitboard with our bindings. Let us know what you think:

Jeremy Jones has gotten out on his Ignition IIs, here’s what he had to say about them:

The bindings are awesome. I felt the difference on my first step. Snowboarding felt like my traditional set up. I was hoping I would get a 5 to 10 percent improvement out of the system. It was more like 20 to 30. Thanks for making my life better. I will be able to achieve more in the mountains because of the spark bindings. Nice work,

Needless to say we’re super stoked! Here’s some video of Jeremy putting the bindings through their paces:

That’s all for now folks, thanks for reading!
