I have about 20 complete pairs of ignition bindings left. Our factory will close around the 24th of January as we head down to the Outdoor Retailer and Snowsports Industries America tradeshows. So if you want a complete set, and don’t want to have to wait an extra week, now is the time to act. I have notified the next forty or so people on the waiting list, those who I have notified will have “now serving” in front of their name. If you are farther down the list and already own a set of missionary bindings (or on my advice have bought some already) fear not, I’ll keep making the baseplates as long as people want them, I’m just running out of my supply of missionary bindings.

Welcome to the Spark R&D blog, and welcome to the year 2008!
2007 was a crazy, and great year. I quit my day job more than a year ago to work for myself full time and it’s been one of the smartest things I’ve ever done. There’s no way that I ever would have been able to develop and launch my splitty bindings if I was working for someone else. I’m working longer and harder than I ever have before, and couldn’t be happier.
Speaking of smartest things I’ve ever done, on Wednesday December 21st I asked Becca to marry me, and lucky for me she said yes! We’ve been together for three years now and if it wasn’t for her the rest really wouldn’t matter. We’ll be getting married next summer here in Montana where we met. Needless to say, we had a great Christmas breaking the news to the family. I made her a titanium engagement ring on my mill here in the shop, one of my most prized spark r&d creations.
Also on the list of smart things, we bought our first house in November. It’s so nice to have a place all to ourselves, and it even has a dishwasher! Oh the luxury!
After several delays at the end of 2007 we finally got production together on the bindings, which are now shipping. My waiting list is hovering around 160 people, so we’ve got our work cut out for us, but everyday we’re getting faster. Click here to check it out.
